Renew a domain and control auto-renew

How expiry, grace, redemption, and auto-renew work.

A domain expires on the date shown in your account. Auto-renew, if you accepted it at checkout, charges the published renewal price before that date.

• Turn auto-renew off from the domain page if you do not want the charge.
• During the grace period after expiry you can still renew at the normal renewal price.
• After grace, the name may enter redemption. The redemption fee on the pricing page is the highest restore fee.
• If you do nothing through redemption, the registry can delete the name and anyone may register it.
