Move a name you already own. Unlock it, paste the authorization code, and pay the transfer price. A completed transfer adds one year.
How a transfer works
Unlock it
At the current registrar, turn off the transfer lock so the status is not client transfer prohibited.
Copy the code
Request the authorization code, also called an EPP code. It is unique to that domain.
Add and pay
Paste the name and the code here. The transfer fee is the price in the table below, for one year.
Approve the release
Watch the registrant inbox. If the current registrar does nothing, most transfers still complete within five days.

What stays the same
One year is added
When the registry accepts the transfer, the expiry date moves forward by one year. That year is the transfer fee.
Lock comes back on
After the name is in your account, the transfer lock is turned on so it cannot move again without a new code.
You approve it
Only the registrant can release the name. Keep the contact email working until the current registrar sends the approval message.
Before you start
Under 60 days
A domain registered or transferred in the last 60 days cannot move. Wait until that window closes.
Still locked
A WHOIS or RDAP status of client transfer prohibited means the lock is still on. Unlock it, then request a fresh code.
Expired into restore
If the name is past the renewal grace period, renew or restore it at the current registrar before you transfer.
Renewed after expiry
If you renewed an expired name, wait 45 days from the old expiry. Otherwise the year the previous registrar added can be removed.
Privacy hiding email
Turn privacy off at the current registrar if it blocks the approval message, then turn it back on here after the move.
Code rejected
Authorization codes expire or change when you unlock the name. Copy a new code and submit that one.
Look up the public status if you are not sure the lock is off.
Questions
How long does a transfer take?
After you pay, the registry marks the name pending transfer. The current registrar has about five days to release it. If they take no action, the transfer is usually approved automatically, then the registry may need another day or two to finish.
Will my website or email go offline?
Not if the nameservers stay the same. Do not change nameservers after the transfer has started. Make DNS edits before you submit.
Does a transfer include an extra year?
Yes. A completed transfer extends the registration by one year. The fee on this page is that year.
Can I transfer more than one domain?
Yes. Enter up to 50 names, one per line, each with its own authorization code after a comma.
What is an authorization code?
It is the password the current registrar issues so another registrar can request the name. It may be called an EPP code, auth code, or transfer key.
Can I cancel after I pay?
You can ask support to stop a transfer that the registry has not accepted yet. After the registry accepts it, the fee is not refunded.
What if the domain expired?
Renew it during the grace period at the current registrar first. Names in redemption cannot transfer until they are restored.
Who sponsors the registration?
Reginova is a reseller. The sponsoring accredited registrar is named in the footer. The name moves to that registrar when the transfer completes.
