Create a mailbox

The difference between forwarding, cPanel mail, and private email.

Forwarding sends [email protected] to an existing inbox. cPanel mail stores the mailbox on the hosting account. Private email is a separate mailbox product with more storage and a larger attachment limit.

• Create the mailbox in cPanel under Email Accounts, or in Private Email after that product is active.
• Set MX records to the host shown in the setup screen. Delete conflicting MX records.
• Add the SPF TXT record from the same screen.
• In a phone or desktop app, use IMAP with SSL on port 993 and SMTP with SSL on port 465.
• Webmail is linked from the hosting or email page in your account.
